💜We All Belong💜This month, we celebrated milestone anniversaries for our three programs: 70 years at Centre 454, 41 years at St Luke's Table, and 40 years at The Well. In recognition of these years of service, November 2024 was proclaimed "Belong Ottawa Month"! 👏❗Our work is far from done: every day, more than 500 people come to our programs for fresh meals, essential supplies, warm showers, and more. What a super person!
Our November Community Champion is… The Salvation Army Ottawa Booth Centre! 🏆 The Salvation Army Ottawa Booth Centre began as a Men’s Hostel and has since expanded to include a variety of programs and services, such as the Anchorage Residential Treatment Program and Street Outreach. 🤝Belong Ottawa often refers participants to their Street Outreach and Housing First programs, helping them connect with additional community resources.👏Grateful for the amazing team at The Salvation Army and the difference they make every day! A beautiful person inside and out!
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for the We All Belong Anniversary Celebration last Thursday! 🎉Seeing our community come together to celebrate the significant milestones of our programs was truly inspiring. The event, hosted in the beautiful nave of St John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Ottawa was made even more special with delicious refreshments provided by Chef Ric's! Special thanks to Mayor Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, Councillor Ariel Troster, and Bishop Shane Parker of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa for being part of this memorable afternoon!🔴At Belong Ottawa, we believe in creating a community where every individual—regardless of background—has a place to feel valued, dignified, and supported. The theme "We All Belong" reflects our core belief that everyone deserves wellness, and hope.⚠️As we continue to support our neighbors facing challenges like homelessness, precarious housing, addictions, and mental health issues, we invite you to be a part of this important journey. You can continue to make a difference by donating directly through our Canada Helps page or visiting our Holiday page to learn how you can get involved.www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/63007belongottawa.ca/holidays Thank you for your unwavering support—together, we’re building a community where everyone belongs. 🙏💜#BelongOttawa #WeAllBelong ...
